Twenty years after the first collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami, the Maison and the Japanese artist are proud to present Louis Vuitton × Murakami: a joyful and celebratory re-edition.

For the occasion, the streets of Milan are colored with the kaleidoscopic Monogram Multicolor: the historic trams of the 1920s, symbol of the city of Milan, made available by the public transport company ATM, are the protagonists of an evocative event that involves the heart of the city, transporting it to an alternative dimension.

Visitors, by contacting Louis Vuitton customer service or through the website, can be invited to experience a unique and engaging adventure aboard two exceptional trams, which follow personalized itineraries through the streets of central Milan.

The first is a traveling cinema, a truly immersive experience, starting from the intense shade of blue, typical of many of his works, which covers the inside of the carriage. Inside, the atmosphere of an exclusive cinema is recreated, where videos and images representing the imaginative universe created by the artist for the Maison are projected, a suggestion that after more than 20 years still allows you to come into contact with Murakami’s imagination.

The second tram is a literary café that offers visitors an engaging experience within an environment animated by a bright shade of pink and the presence of the kaleidoscopic Monogram Multicolor that covers the tables. A unique opportunity to experience Japanese culture and tradition in a dynamic environment among the streets and most iconic places of the city.

The appointment for the two trips, bookable through the Louis Vuitton website starting in January, is in two symbolic squares of the city of Milan: Piazza Castello and Piazza Fontana. Two shelters decorated with the emblematic superflat aesthetic, with the LV Hands logo, created by the artist for the Maison in the early 2000s, welcome visitors.

To complete the experience, another symbolic stop on this celebratory Milanese journey is the Louis Vuitton store in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II where it will be possible to discover the entire Louis Vuitton × Murakami collection in a space specially re-edited with exclusive graphics and elements.
