F.P.Journe and Corvo&C. Celebrate 20 Years of Collaboration

It was 2004 when François-Paul Journe, during a visit to Milan for an exhibition organized by one of his dealers, met Michele Corvo for the first time at his headquarters in Piazza Borromeo.

And it was in that very year that the collaboration with Corvo&C. began, when François-Paul learned of the end of the long relationship with Jaeger-LeCoultre and their desire to undertake a new commercial path with some independent brands; but the primary interest, on the part of Corvo&C., was to become its sole ambassador in Italy, when F.P.Journe then had four points of sale.

Over the years, the partnership has consolidated, the points of sale present at the time have changed and Corvo&C. has evolved, opening its boutique under the brand GMT Great-Masters of Time. From the very beginning, GMT highlighted the FPJ brand as its “flagship” among the brands it represented, precisely because the brand reflected exactly what the Corvo family loves most: creative flair, technical elegance, timeless aesthetics. The first store opened in Porto Cervo in 2007, followed by Milan in Corso Magenta in 2009, then in the Brian&Barry Building in 2014, with the first Espace FPJ in Italy and, finally, in Via della Spiga in 2021 which hosts an entirely dedicated Espace FPJ.

During these 20 years of collaboration, difficult moments have alternated with important successes, while the brand has developed steadily under the firm and confident guidance of François-Paul Journe.

Today, F.P.Journe is a solid name, widely appreciated by collectors around the world and capable of conquering even the Italian public, traditionally linked to old-school brands.
