With the launch of the Cubitus collection, Patek Philippe wants to offer a new reinterpretation of the sporty and elegant style. To achieve this, the Manufacture has chosen to explore a new geometry based on the square. A visit to the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva is enough to realize that the Maison had already proposed, in its collections, numerous quadrangular-shaped cases (square, rectangular, trapezoid, cushion), especially during the Art Deco period, when this type of aesthetic was very much in vogue. For the new Cubitus collection, however, Patek Philippe has developed a completely original and innovative design, where the square bezel is characterized by rounded corners: a bold and subtle shape that combines the square, the circle and the octagon.

To emphasize the character of the new Cubitus collection and underscore its sporty touch, Patek Philippe has embellished the dials with a striking horizontal relief pattern that creates a fascinating play of light. This horizontal pattern, a distinctive signature of the collection, is also present on the rotors and mini-rotors of Patek Philippe movements.

Another distinctive feature of this assertive design is the contrast between the vertical satin finishes on the flat part of the bezel and the upper part of the case, and the polished finishes on the chamfer of the bezel corner and the sides of the case band. Each watch (case and bracelet) requires almost fifty-five manual finishing operations, carried out with the same masterly workmanship that characterizes all Patek Philippe creations. The integrated metal bracelet of two of the three Cubitus models features the same alternating finishes: vertical satin finishes on the lateral links and polished finishes on the central links.
