The iconic Hawaii collection, whose design dates back to the 1930s from an idea of the founder of the Maison, Mario Buccellati, continues its evolution and is today enriched with a new design.
The oval element, closely linked to the circle, recalls the eye, which is the soul’s window onto emotions and the world around us. The small gold circles which, with their particular chaining, have characterized the sinuous lines of the jewels in the collection for decades, have become “ovalised” to form an even softer whole, a veritable cascade of elliptical elements of different sizes, that bind to each other in a rich and magnificently delicate whole. The hand-twisted thread, an original feature of the collection, is shaped into an elongated shape, which expresses a less concentric and rigorous strength and offers a more relaxed push to the overall design .
In the necklace, available in the short version, the large oval elements interrupt the continuity of smaller elliptical shapes, creating a different and evident rhythm, which becomes a recurring motif of creation, but never banal or predictable.
The same motif is repeated in the earrings that complete the set. Both jewels are available both in yellow gold and in the elegant combination of three golds, yellow, pink and white. Originally influenced by the artistic movement of Futurism, which was the conceptual inspiration for the search for movement with the use of the twisted wire technique, the jewels of the Hawaii Oval line represent the result of constant and uninterrupted research over time, obtained with the craftsmanship that is applied to every creation of the Maison.
With this latest evolution, the Hawaii collection reconfirms its contemporaneity, its continuous keeping in step with the times and fashions while never subjecting itself to any particular dictate, but rather showing itself faithful to its origins and witness to the timeless elegance that distinguishes them all. Buccellati creations.
